Narendra Chanchal also sang devotional songs along with films. Later, his bhajans topped the list of singers. He sang the song ‘Beshak Mandir Masjid Todo’ in Bobby. With this song, Narendra became a star overnight. After this, he sang songs in many films. But he did not like this popularity. Seeing his career growing in films, he stopped singing devotional songs. After this, he lost his voice for months.

In an interview given to ABP News, Narendra Chanchal had told that he had made up his mind to sing film songs. He sang songs like ‘Baaki Kuchh Bacha To Mahangai Maar Gayi’ and ‘Main Benaam Ho Gaya’. Success was at its peak. But soon God showed him the mirror.

Narendra Chanchal refused to sing bhajans out of pride

Narendra Chanchal told that once he was going to Agra to attend a music night. He often used to go to Agra to sing bhajans. When he reached the program in Agra, a man asked him to sing bhajans but he made an excuse of ill health and refused to sing. Then he left from there. That very night he lost his voice.

Narendra Chanchal sang only bhajans and devotional songs

Narendra Chanchal realized that Mata Rani has punished him for his mistake and arrogance. He remained without voice for many months. His treatment continued. When he recovered, he decided that he will now sing only Mata’s songs. He never sang film songs again. He sang devotional songs in films as well. He sang songs like ‘Tune mujhe bulaya shera walia’ and ‘Chalo bulawa aaya’ and gained fame not only in the country but also in the world.
