New Delhi. Actress Meenakshi Seshadri, who made everyone crazy with her acting and beauty in the 80s-90s, has earned a lot of fame. The name Meenakshi from Shashikala Seshadri was given to her by famous actor Manoj Kumar. When she was in 12th class, she applied for a beauty pageant. She also got selected and was awarded the title of Eve’s Weekly Miss India. Meenakshi Seshadri, who started her Bollywood career with the 1983 film ‘Hero’, worked with many stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha, Jackie Shroff, Rajesh Khanna and Vinod Khanna before leaving the film industry in 1996. She recently recalled the incident from the film ‘Hoshiyaar’ when sweet lime was being thrown at her and Jeetendra during a song of the film.
Meenakshi Sheshadri is currently away from films. But her fans still love her old films very much. Recently, she recalled her old memories related to the industry and also recalled a funny anecdote with her co-star Jeetendra.
60 year old Meenakshi refreshes her old memories
Actually, recently Meenakshi Sheshadri has talked about her experience in films with Laharen Retro. She recalled the shooting of the song ‘Choli Tere Tan Par Kasi-Kasi’ from the 1985 film Hoshiyaar. She recalled how they had to shoot the scene of throwing sweet lime on both of them. Which was quite painful.
When sweet limes are thrown…
Meenakshi said, ‘I have worked with Jeetendra in many films. The best memory I have with him is when we were shooting a song in Ooty and many big sweet limes were thrown at us. When sweet limes are thrown at you, it hurts. That pain cannot be explained and imagine that we were shooting a sensuous song. I can never forget this.
Shatrughna had done something special for Meenakshi
During the same interview, Meenakshi told that Shatrughan, who was in the news for coming late on the sets at that time, came on time for her. I was shooting in Chennai and had to come to Mumbai for another film. I requested Shatrughan to please come on time on the set. He is so sweet that he came on time. After that scene, he told me not to tell anyone about this.
Let us tell you that Meenakshi and Jeetendra have worked together in the films Mahaguru (1985), Aag Se Khelenge (1989) and Yeh Raat Phir Na Aayegi (1992).
