Kamran’s first wife and Farah-Sajid’s step mother’s name is Amita. Amita ruled Bollywood for 20 years. He worked with many big stars of the 60-70s including Shammi Kapoor-Rajendra Kumar. She made her Bollywood debut with the 1953 film Srichaitanya Mahaprabhu and then appeared in Devanand starrer ‘Munim Ji’.

In 1956, ‘Shirin Farhad’ proved to be a career changing for Amita. The success of Shammi Kapoor starrer ‘Tumsa Dekha’ made a even higher jump in his career. But Rajendra Kumar got all the credit for the success of ‘echoed shehnai’. Although he did very well. Amita also worked in ‘Rakhi’ and ‘Mere Mehboob’, but her career graph could not move forward.
