Xiaomi is about to introduce Xiaomi 15 Ultra later this month. Before the launch, Xiaomi’s founder, president and CEO Lei June has shared the first camera sample from a smartphone on Weibo, which shows its capacity in low light conditions. Shared Sample Xiaomi 15 ULTRA’s 100mm periscope was taken through telephoto lens. So it seems that it was captured with a potential 200 megapixel Samsung Isocell HP9 periscope camera. This sensor with 1/1.4-inch size uses 4 × 4 pixels bining technology to increase performance in low light, which provides convenience of details and fast telephoto shots in dark conditions. It is also expected to support 4.3x optical zoom and 100x AI Advanced Digital Zoom, which makes it one of the most advanced periscope telephoto cameras in the industry.

Lei June earlier said that Xiaomi 15 would improve Ultra Night Photography. Suggesting that its periscope camera can install a new standard in telephoto imaging in low light. Samples photos with better clarity, control noise level and spectacular highlights confirm these claims.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra was priced at 6,499 yuan (about Rs 77,300), so the price of 15 Ultra is expected to be higher. However, the exact price will be confirmed only at the launch, which is expected to be later this month.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra will find a 2K micro-curved display. This Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset will be given. This ultrasonic in-display will support fingerprint sensor and satellite communication. In terms of camera setup, the rear of 15 Ultra will get 50 megapixel Lyt 900 primary camera, 50 megapixel Samsung JN5 ultra-wide camera, 50 megapixel IMX858 telephoto camera and 200 megapixel Samsung HP9 periscope telephoto camera. It can get a 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
