The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Pro has a top speed of 25 km/h and offers three-speed modes. In this, the speed becomes 6 km/hr in walking mode, 20 km/hr in standard mode and 25 km/hr in sport mode. For this speed, the rear-wheel motor is capable of generating power up to 1,000W. Xiaomi says that with this much power, the e-scooter is able to climb up to 22% hills with ease.
It has a frame made of carbon steel, which can bear weight up to 120 kg. Its stem connecting the footboard to the handlebar folds easily, due to which it can be easily fitted even in small space. The e-scooter has dual spring shock absorbers at the front and a single spring at the rear. It has 10-inch wide tubeless tyres.
The e-scooter has a 477Wh lithium battery scooter, which, as per the company’s claim, is capable of giving a range of up to 60 km on a single charge. Xiaomi’s intelligent battery management system is equipped with safety features to prevent problems like short circuit, overcharging and overheating. It also has braking regeneration.
The scooter comes with app-based controls that allow users to track its location, lock the motor, and install updates. There is a dashboard on the handlebar, which shows realtime speed as well as battery status and some other details. It has drum brake at the front and E-ABS at the rear. Its body is rated IPX5 for water protection.
