If you are Xiaomi’s smartphone users then there is a bad news for you. Like every time, Xiaomi has once again included new devices in its end of life list. This means that software support for many more devices is going to be discontinued. Earlier in October 2024, the company stopped support for Xiaomi Pad 5 and Redmi Note 11 Pro series. Now the company has expanded the remaining models of Redmi Note 11 as well as other Redmi and Poco branded smartphones.

Xiaomi included Redmi Note 11 in the Eol List

Xiaomi’s EOL list includes 9 additional models, which means that users of these devices will no longer get MIUI update or new Android Security Patch. These models include Redmi Note 11 SE, Redmi Note 11S 5G, Redmi Note 11S, Redmi Note 11 5G, Redmi Note 11, Redmi 10C, Redmi 10C, Redmi 10 2022, POCO X4 Pro 5G and Poco M4 Pro.

Xiaomi’s decision to include these devices in the EOL list is in line with its standard life -wise policy for smartphone software support. Once the devices are included in this list, users will not get regular security updates or new features, which may affect security and utility for a long time.
If you are one of the users who are still using these devices, then you should start looking for a new option. Especially if security update is a priority for you, then taking a new phone is important for you. However, the remaining functions of the phone will continue to work as before, the lack of updates will mean the risk of security over time. If users are aware of technology, then they can install Custom Rome based on the latest Android version to run their old device.
