Runto Technology reports (via mydriversAccording to ), Xiaomi has joined the top three monitor brands in China. The company has reportedly been focusing on office productivity monitors in its domestic market for some time now. It is reported that the company has seen a modest overall market growth of 0.8 percent (4.95 million units) in the first half of 2024. Not only this, traditional e-commerce sales have seen a decline of 0.7 percent year-on-year. However, even after this, the company has made its place in third place.
Xiaomi has reportedly focused its attention on 27-inch FHD monitors in China. This focus has apparently helped the company gain a considerable market share, especially in the budget-friendly segment.
It further said that AOC still remains the leading monitor brand in China. However, its sales have also slowed down compared to last year. At the same time, HKC, known for its gaming-centric monitors, took the second spot. The brand’s emphasis on 27-inch QHD gaming monitors was liked by the customers, which accounted for 80 percent of its sales.
The low-end market for monitors in China is now reportedly up more than 2 percent compared to last year. Xiaomi has certainly taken advantage of this. While gaming segment monitor sales are on the rise, the report says that the growing importance of remote work and online education is expected to drive demand for office productivity displays even higher.
