Xiaomi Smart Door Lock 2 Pro has been launched in China for 2,299 yuan (about Rs 30,000) and has been spotted on GizmoChina. Accordingit is currently available for purchase on JD.com.
The Xiaomi Smart Door Lock 2 Pro uses a dual-battery system, consisting of a 5,000mAh lithium battery and four dry-cell batteries. The company says that this system can deliver a total of eight months of battery life. The lithium battery can power cat-eye and face recognition for four months, while the dry-cell battery can power fingerprint and password unlocking for the same period. The power saving mode automatically switches on when the battery reaches 10 percent. When the lithium battery is completely exhausted, the device automatically transfers to the dry battery setup. Users can also charge it from a power bank via a Type-C cable.
It has a large electronic cat-eye display screen, which allows users to see the conditions outside the room from inside the door. The ultra-wide-angle cat-eye camera has a 160º field range and can perform a number of functions, including detecting unusual activity and sending notifications to the owner. Xiaomi said that the design of the screen is more attractive than screen speakers, TVs or other gadgets.
Xiaomi Smart Door Lock 2 Pro is equipped with ten unlocking options, including face recognition, fingerprint recognition, Bluetooth, Xiaomi mobile phone, Xiaomi Watch, encrypted NFC door card and mechanical key, etc.
