The design of Sharp Air Purifier is pleasing at first sight. When I unboxed it with our video editor, both of us had the same first reaction. We liked its compact size. You can keep this air purifier with imported design at any place in your house (bedroom).
Most of it is charcoal brown in colour. Light colored finish has been given on the top, in which its button function is present. For example- power button, hedge mode etc. which illuminate with LED indicator. The air purifier is controlled with the help of these buttons. Its air flow is also at the top. I found the build quality of the Sharp Air Purifier FP-S40M-T to be solid. This purifier weighing about 3.9 kg can be easily moved from one room to another. Apart from the air purifier, power adapter and user manual is available in the box.
installation
People often have a question about how to install or use a new air purifier. This air purifier from Sharp is easy to use. After opening the box, you will have to remove the covers given on its right and left sides. The covers are easily removed by pressing lightly from the bottom.
After removing them, one mesh is found on both the sides. After removing it, the plastic cover has to be removed from the HEPA filters installed inside and the HEPA filters have to be reinstalled there. After that the air purifier starts working with the help of the power adapter.

Plasmacluster technology has been used in it, which the company has also branded on its products. Plasmaclusters are ions, similar to the positive and negative ions found in nature.

Before talking further about the features, it is important to tell that this model of Sharp air purifier covers 330 square feet area. This means that it is not for a big hall. It has two in one filter – HEPA filter and odor removing filter. The company has not told which HEPA filter it is. The functions of Sharp Air Purifier FP-S40M-T are simple. Everything is in the buttons given at the top. It took some time to understand the functions but once you get used to it, the purifier is easy to use.
There are total 4 buttons in it. The first is the power button, which works on-off. The second button is connected to all the modes given in it like – Auto Mode, Pollen, Sleep and three types of Fan Modes. The third button is connected to Haze. On turning it on, the purifier works at high speed for a certain time and then comes to normal speed. With the fourth button, a timer can be set and the purifier can be set for 2, 4 or 8 hours. Apart from this, there is an indicator in it, which shows blue light when the air is clean. If the air is polluted, then it turns orange.
After using it for about 20 days, my experience with Sharp Air Purifier FP-S40M-T is mixed. I liked the build quality of the purifier, its functioning, compact design. Its air throw is good. It also does not make much noise. But there is a lack of digital display. At this price I was expecting Wi-Fi support, which is not there. You have to go to it every time you want to change the function. If there was app support, this would be in your pocket! This model of Sharp can be the choice for those who want an air purifier with simple and manual functioning.
