Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film Animal was a blockbuster. Bobby Deol was seen in the role of villain in this film. On one hand, his acting was highly praised. On the other hand, his dance moves in the film’s song Jamal Kudu also went viral. Now recently Bobby talked about the dance steps of this song.

Bobby said in the Screen Live event, ‘I still remember when I was shooting that scene. Initially, with some hesitation, I told Sandeep that I could not dance with the choreographer. Then I started dancing, but meanwhile he interrupted me and said that this character is not Bobby Deol’s but Abrar’s, so I have to dance accordingly.

Bobby Deol said, ‘When he told me this, I started thinking, what should I do now? Then I asked Saurabh Sachdeva, who played my brother’s character in the film, how would you dance? And he started dancing. Suddenly, I don’t know what happened, all the memories of old times came alive in my mind.

Bobby said, ‘In my childhood, I used to go to Punjab during summer and winter holidays. At night people used to drink alcohol and play songs there. After this they used to dance with glasses and bottles on their heads. I thought, let me try it once. I put the glass on my head and started dancing and then suddenly it went viral. I really didn’t know that my dance would become so popular. It was really surprising.

‘Animal’ is the first blockbuster film of Bobby’s career. Bobby has done about 45 films in his 28 year long career, but in such a long career, ‘Animal’ is the only film which proved to be his first blockbuster. It has done a business of approximately Rs 950 crore at the box office. Before this, only 6 of his films had been hits. These are-Barsaat, Gupt, Soldier, Badal, Yamla Pagla Deewana and Housefull 4.
