Maruti Suzuki has revealed the new generation model of its best-selling sedan Dezire. The company is preparing to launch the car on November 11. The fourth generation Maruti Suzuki Dezire is based on the company’s hatchback Maruti Swift platform, but its design is completely different. The car has been introduced with sunroof, 6 airbags as standard and many segment first features.

The sedan will be launched in the market in only 5 variants – LXI, VXI, VXI(O), ZXI, and ZXI+. Ex-showroom price of the updated model is expected to start from Rs 6.99 lakh. Currently, the price of Dezire starts at Rs 6.57 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor in the sedan segment. The company claims that the CNG version of the car will give a mileage of 33.73km/kg.
