New Delhi. Filmmaker Nikhil Advani started his career with the production house Yash Raj Films. He told that earlier the film industry used to be like a family, but now things have changed. He mentioned the bonding of Yash Chopra and Amitabh Bachchan. Nikhil told that Big Bhi had charged only Rs 1 as fee for the film Mohabbatein. Yash Chopra had directed Abitabh Bachchan’s film ‘Deewar’ and later also helped in improving the sinking career of Big B.
In an interview given to Mirchi Plus, Nikhil Advani was asked what is the difference in the industry before and now. He replied, ‘When the series was being made, Yash Chopra asked Amitabh Bachchan how much fee he wanted. Amit ji said that I want to buy a house. So this time I want a good amount. Yash ji said okay. During the movie Mohabbatein, Yash ji asked Amit ji how much he wanted this time, then Amit ji said that you had given me what I asked for last time, this time I will take only 1 rupee for the film and he actually gave it for 1 rupee only. Nikhil told that, ‘Earlier films were made on relationships. Nowadays films are made on calculations. Earlier we used to make films like a family. Aunty Pam (Pamela Chopra) used to cook food for us.
